Akaboxi empowers smallholder farmers by creating reliable market access for agro-produce through organized saving groups and community-based trade networks. Farmers are able to aggregate their produce together, allowing groups of 30 or more farmers to meet larger market demands with consistent supply and better bargaining power.
Through strategically established One-Stop Collection Centres located within accessible trading centres, farmers can conveniently deliver, store, and connect their produce to buyers without unnecessary transport burdens or middlemen exploitation.
Linking Rural Farmers to Local and Urban Markets
Our Trading Hub also links excess produce to wider urban markets in Kampala and beyond, opening opportunities for sustainable trade, improved household income, and long-term economic growth for rural communities.
Akaboxi welcomes partnerships with buyers, aggregators, development organizations, cooperatives, and investors interested in strengthening agricultural value chains, improving food distribution, and supporting financially empowered farming communities across Uganda.
